With some practical handling skills on the water and some theory work on dry land we will teach you to be a safe and competent rider able to make the right decisions at speed including collision regulations, navigation, weather and tides.

The course includes use of a Jet Ski which is based in Torquay Marina. Fuel, certificate and handbooks are all included.

Low numbers to ensure you get plenty of time on the helm.

Want to bring your own personal watercraft? – great; a discounted course is available.

How long is the licence valid?

Your licence will be registered with the RYA so there is always a record, there is no revalidation required.

Can I hire a personal watercraft using the licence?

Yes, but in Europe you are best getting the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), this is just a paperwork exercise with your proficiency licence and an additional £52 fee.  We can assist you through the process.  Bring an extra passport photo with you.

Can I use my own personal watercraft on the course?

Yes, please get in touch with us – we will discount the course if you bring your own.

Why is it a good idea to do the course?

Increasingly the certificate is required for launching in UK harbours.  Some insurance companies are also offering discounts when you have done the course.
