30 minutes of exhilarating fun.  We break the trip up in short bursts stopping at places of interest to allow you to get your breath back, enjoy the beauty of Torbay and get another chance to enjoy the amazing acceleration of Raptor.

As with all water based activities the wind and weather conditions will always determine where we operate but our skippers will always find the right bits of Torbay to make sure you have a memorable ride

Wind-chill means that it is considerably cooler onboard Raptor so we recommend lots of layers  and sensible shoes.

You are required to hold on for the duration of the trip so please do not bring any bags onboard as these cannot be secured. Phones can be taken onboard but they must be secured in a pocket.

What is the minimum age?

A guide is age 10 but this really depends on leg length as we want everyone to be able to touch the floor whilst sat down. The leg length needs to be approximately 25-26″.

Is there a walk to the boat?

Customers should be aware that there is a short walk from the meeting point to the activity location. This is less than a 2 minutes walk. The boat is boarded from within MDL Marina.

Are there any health restrictions?

We are happy to welcome any customers of any ability, however RIB trips are a physical activity.  If you are unsure please give us a call to discuss.  If pregnant we advice against incase we experience any bumps whilst out on the water however please contact your doctor for advice.  We do offer private own bubble RIB trips which can be tailored to suit.

What if the weather is bad?

This is the UK so we don’t stop unless the waves and wind are too heavy or the rain too hard. We will offer other times/dates but Torbay is very sheltered and the boat is super stable.

Will I get wet?

Raptor is a very dry and stable boat and we will not intentionally get you wet !! However travelling at speed on water can occasionally mean there is light spray although our skippers will do everything to ensure this is minimised.

What shall I wear?

Wind chill on the water is always a factor.  Dress in readiness for temperatures a few degrees lower than on land.  We strongly reccomend that you come with a windproof or waterproof jacket or other suitable warm clothing.  Lifejackets will be provided and are mandatory.  Sensible shoes please.

What to bring?

Please leave all bags in your car.  Nothing can be held in your hands during your ride.  Small shoulder bags can be worn providing they fit under clothing.

Can I take photos?

Yes – we would love you to capture your trip.  We recommend popping in your pocket whilst we are moving. We can’t allow cameras to be worn around the neck.  You are welcome to wear Go Pro harnesses.  The Raptor is fitted with 2 Go Pro cameras which will film the entire trip in 4K UHD – so every smile is captured.  We sell a short edited film of your ride and post pictures daily on social media.
