What is the minimum age?
A guide is age 10 but this really depends on leg length as we want everyone to be able to touch the floor whilst sat down.
What if the weather is bad?
This is the UK so we don’t stop unless the waves and wind are too heavy or the rain too hard. We will offer other times/dates but Torbay is very sheltered and the boat is super stable.
Will I get wet?
No – Raptor is a very dry and stable boat and we would normally expect the only reason you might get wet is if it rains.
What shall I wear?
Wind chill on the water is always a factor. Dress in readiness for temperatures a few degrees lower than on land. We issue all our riders with a Raptor suit (so no skirts or dresses please). The suit is large enough to allow a waterproof layer to be worn underneath on rainy days and we provide eye protection against the wind. Lifejackets will be provided and are mandatory. Sensible shoes please.
What to bring?
Please leave all bags in your car. Nothing can be held in your hands during your ride. Small shoulder bags can be worn providing they fit under clothing. Once dressed for the experience you will have limited access to your pockets.
Can I take photos?
Yes – when the RIB is stopped or in Brixham harbour. When the Raptor sets off at speed your phone must be securely in your pocket. We can’t allow cameras to be worn around the neck or any items to be hand held. You are welcome to wear Go Pro harnesses. The Raptor is fitted with a Go Pro camera to capture as much of the action as possible but we can’t guarantee these working 100% of the time.
