The Raptor - High Speed Adventure

The “Raptor” is a custom built 12 metre high performance passenger RIB built to offer you the thrill of a high speed voyage on the water in comfort and safety.

£40 a head

30 Minutes Ride from Torquay Marina

Maximum 12 persons per trip

Suitability: No Back or Neck problems

Raptor voyagers will meet at our base in Torquay marina to get kitted up.  We then have a short walk to the jetty for a safety briefing and life jacket fitting.

Raptor will then navigate from Torquay to Paignton to allow everyone to settle in before taking the RIB to higher speeds on our way to Brixham.  From here it’s out to Berry Head to find the dolphins and then home to Torquay as fast as conditions allow.

An experience you will never forget !!

  • Custom Built 12 Metre Performance RIB
  • Triple Engines – Fastest Passenger RIB in England
  • Perfect way to see all of Torbay and the Riviera
  • Dolphin and Seal spotting
  • Paignton, Brixham, Berry Head and the Islands all included
  • High speed exhilaration and lots of fun
  • Group discounts
  • Private charter available
  • Comfortable loose clothing
  • Flat shoes
  • Jacket to protect from the wind at high speed
  • Waterproofs if the weather looks bad

What is the minimum age?

A guide is age 10 but this really depends on leg length as we want everyone to be able to touch the floor whilst sat down.

What if the weather is bad?

This is the UK so we don’t stop unless the waves and wind are too heavy or the rain too hard. We will offer other times/dates but Torbay is very sheltered and the boat is super stable.

Will I get wet?

No – Raptor is a very dry and stable boat and we would normally expect the only reason you might get wet is if it rains.

What shall I wear?

Wind chill on the water is always a factor.  Dress in readiness for temperatures a few degrees lower than on land.  We issue all our riders with a Raptor suit (so no skirts or dresses please). The suit is large enough to allow a waterproof layer to be worn underneath on rainy days and we provide eye protection against the wind.  Lifejackets will be provided and are mandatory.  Sensible shoes please.

What to bring?

Please leave all bags in your car.  Nothing can be held in your hands during your ride.  Small shoulder bags can be worn providing they fit under clothing.  Once dressed for the experience you will have limited access to your pockets.

Can I take photos?

Yes – when the RIB is stopped or in Brixham harbour.  When the Raptor sets off at speed your phone must be securely in your pocket.  We can’t allow cameras to be worn around the neck or any items to be hand held.  You are welcome to wear Go Pro harnesses.  The Raptor is fitted with a Go Pro camera to capture as much of the action as possible but we can’t guarantee these working 100% of the time.

To mitigate risk to staff and customers we are ensuring the following:

  • Rides will be timed to allow gaps between trips limiting the number of persons in one area.
  • The boat will be disinfected bewteen trips and fully deep cleaned at the end of each day.
  • Masks must be worn during your time with us.  Masks are available to buy should you not have one.
  • Hand cleansing stations are located upon arrival and before boarding the RIB.
  • Lifejackets will be fully disinfected between trips.
  • All equipment fully disinfected again at the end of the day and left over night.
  • We will reduce our use of waterproofs so please ensure you come fully equipped for the weather conditions on the day.
