Swim Seafari

Our adventure begins at Torquay Marina.  We will meet you at our TQWS hub by the marina entrance where you will collect your lifejackets ready to get onboard our RIB.  You will be accompanied by your Swim Leader Susie who will swim with you throughout, plus our qualified RIB skipper.

It is a short journey along the coast to our different swim sights.  You will be dropped off and we will swim in a group exploring the beautiful Torbay coastline.  The safety boat will always stay with us at a safe distance to allow us to immerse ourselves into the quietness of our environment.

We will likely see seals basking on rocks and maybe even dolphins. The water is clear so bring goggles or a mask to enjoy the unique sea grass and kelp beds.

Who is this session suitable for?

Want to try some adventurous open water swimming?

Already swim for fitness and fun?

Can swim at least 50m unaided?

Where do we meet?

You will be met by your instructor at the Ocean Adventures Trailer by the entrance to the marina, kitted out with a lifejacket (which must be worn at all times when not swimming).

Where do we swim?

The location and duration of the swims will depend on the water, tide and prevailing conditions. The swim organiser will try and accommodate requests and endeavour to include wildlife spotting and cave swimming into the trip.

Where can I get changed?

There are no changing rooms or toilets available at our hub due to the current restrictions.  However most people will arrive with their swimming costume under their clothes and get ready for their first swim.

Can I leave my bag on the boat whilst I swim?

There is limited space onboard our RIB so we ask that you only take what is necessary to get warm after your swim.  We can not be held responsible for any loss of personal items whilst onboard.  Tow floats provided have waterproof space for small items.
