The International certificate of Competence, ICC is required by most European countries as evidence of a basic level of knowledge.

The ICC can be obtained through the relevant RYA qualifications or through an ICC test.

You can obtain the ICC through us by undertaking the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course.  Passing this course allows you to apply for the ICC with a 10m restriction.

Or you can undertake an ICC assessment with us. You will need to display a level of competence across a variety of areas at a level comparable to the standards reached on a Powerboat Level 2 course.

Pricing for the ICC is £40 per hour.

The ICC assessment will normally take half a day for one person but we normally recommend a full day to give you time to practise and brush up on some skills.

Tests can be completed on our boat or on your own boat.

The ICC is valid for 5 years and can be renewed without completing further tests, but by declaring your time out on the water.
