45 minute coastal trip looking for wildlife.

£35 a head

45 minute trip starting from Torquay Marina

Maximum 9 persons per trip

Suitability: No Back or Neck problems

Minimum guide age is 4 years old

You will meet our team at our base at Torquay Marina to get kitted up, have a safety briefing and lifejacket fitting.

We then depart Torquay Harbour admiring the wonderful boats on our way out.

There are a couple of set routes for our coastal explore and our Skippers will choose the best area for your trip ensuring a safe and comfortable ride as well as interesting places to stop and admire.

Looking for our resident pods of dolphins and seals that we see so frequently on our trips.

Come and see parts of the coast that many never see !!

45 minutes of coastal exploration and fun.  We break the trip up in short segments stopping at places of interest to allow you to enjoy the beauty of Torbay and keep an eye out for wildlife.

As with all water based activities the wind and weather conditions will always determine where we operate but our skippers will always find the right bits of Torbay to make sure you have a memorable ride

Wind-chill means that it is considerably cooler onboard our boats so we recommend lots of layers including a waterproof layer and sensible shoes.

Cameras are very welcome – we want you to capture your trip in glorious detail.

What is the minimum age?

A guide is age 4 years old.  Please get in contact if you have any questions regarding this.

Is there a walk to the boat?

Customers should be aware that there is a short walk from the meeting point to the activity location. This is less than a 2 minutes walk. The boat is boarded in MDL marina.

Are there any health restrictions?

We are happy to welcome any customers of any ability, however RIB trips are a physical activity.  If you are unsure please give us a call to discuss.  If pregnant we advice against incase we experience any bumps whilst out on the water however please contact your doctor for advice.  We do offer private own bubble RIB trips which can be tailored to suit.

What if the weather is bad?

This is the UK so we don’t stop unless the waves and wind are too heavy or the rain too hard. We will offer other times/dates but Torbay is very sheltered and the boat is super stable.

Will I get wet?

Our RIBs are very dry and stable and we will not intentionally get you wet !! However travelling on water can occasionally mean there is light spray although our skippers will do everything to ensure this is minimised.

What shall I wear?

Wind chill on the water is always a factor.  Dress in readiness for temperatures a few degrees lower than on land.  We strongly reccomend that you come with a windproof or waterproof jacket or other suitable warm clothing.  Lifejackets will be provided and are mandatory.  Sensible shoes please.

What to bring?

Please leave all bags in your car.  Nothing can be held in your hands during your ride.  Small shoulder bags can be worn.

Can I take photos?

Yes -we very much want you to capture your trip on the water with us !!

The weather in the English Riviera is mostly kind to us – but be prepared.

Wind chill on the water is always a factor:

  • Layers are good – you can never have enough !
  • Hats and gloves are welcome if cold.
  • We are unable to provide waterproofs – come prepared.
  • Flat sensible shoes – no heels.
  • The RIB has a mix of jockey seats and a rear bench seat – avoid skirts and dresses.
  • We provide life jackets which are mandatory for all persons.

To mitigate risk to staff and customers we are ensuring the following:

  • Rides will be timed to allow gaps between trips limiting the number of persons in one area.
  • The boat will be disinfected bewteen trips and fully deep cleaned at the end of each day.
  • Hand cleansing stations are located upon arrival.
  • Lifejackets will be fully disinfected between trips.
  • All equipment fully disinfected again at the end of the day and left over night.
  • We will be unable to supply waterproofs so please ensure you come fully equipped for the weather conditions on the day.

If you or any member of your party are displaying any symptons of coronavirus then please do not turn up for your trip.

Give us a call to rearrange.

If you develop symptoms after your Rib Ride then do please let us know.

Your safety first…..your enjoyment a very close second !
